With the population ageing and family sizes shrinking, a growing number of seniors are reaching the end of their lives with little or no family support. An often-unseen network of charities, social workers and funeral directors is stepping in to make sure those seniors still receive a dignified send-off, with strangers accompanying them on their final journey.
