A video showing a man forcing his way into a hotel room in Georgia's Kakheti region and punching a female tourist has drawn more than seventeen million views, with the woman who posted it saying the attack came after the group was overheard speaking Russian. Georgia's Interior Ministry tells a different story, according to Meduza's English edition: it says the fight began when foreign guests insulted people at a wedding downstairs from their balcony and doused the DJ's equipment with water. The victim says her nose was broken, and police have detained the attacker on a charge of intentionally inflicting minor bodily harm, which carries up to three years in prison. The hotel, Agarani Estate, denies that its staff gave out the guests' room number or took part in the fight, and has since disabled comments on its posts.
