Geothermal energy is having a moment, and Ormat Technologies is positioned to ride the wave. The company, Canary Media reports, operates a major facility in western Nevada near the Hot Springs Mountains, where it's been tapping into heat trapped naturally beneath the earth's surface to generate electricity. Ormat started a significant experiment there over two decades ago, and with renewed interest in geothermal as a climate-friendly energy source, established players in the field are seeing fresh momentum.
