US strikes Iran for ninth consecutive day as more ships targeted in Strait of Hormuz

The United States launched another round of strikes inside Iran on Monday, the ninth straight day of the campaign, France 24 reports. American deaths in the renewed fighting have risen to three, and more vessels came under attack in the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow waterway at the mouth of the Persian Gulf through which a large share of the world's seaborne oil passes. Iran answered by targeting US military assets in Kuwait and in Bahrain, home to the US Navy's Fifth Fleet.
