According to developer Simon Willison, Datasette one point zero alpha thirty-five brings table creation and alteration to the database UI. The new create-table interface lets you define columns, primary keys, and constraints through a web form backed by a JSON API. The alter-table feature lets you modify existing tables—add, rename, or drop columns, change types and constraints. The release also formalizes template context as a stable API through version two point zero, protecting custom template code from breaking changes. It's major progress toward the one point zero stable release.
