Double murder accused strangled his Devon cellmate while awaiting trial

A jury in Winchester has been told that a man awaiting trial for a double murder strangled his cellmate in prison. The Guardian reports that James Desborough, who is forty, is accused of killing Claudio Aquilino and Daniel Coleman and hiding parts of their bodies in dense undergrowth in Cornish woodland near his cabin at St Austell. The court heard that Desborough, described as a fan of a television show about serial killers, was convicted in March of murdering Steven Kempster, the cellmate he shared a cell with in Devon. The double murder case against him is still before the court.
