Iceland has 'nothing to lose' in EU membership talks, says French foreign minister

France's foreign minister says Iceland has nothing to lose by pursuing EU membership. The island nation originally applied to join the bloc in two thousand nine, following its financial sector collapse, but suspended accession negotiations in twenty fifteen.
