Canberra's town crier recognized as world's loudest person with 122.4dB yell

other

According to Boing Boing, a fifty-eight-year-old town crier from Canberra has set a new Guinness World Record for the loudest human shout. Joseph McGrail-Bateup, an air conditioner cleaner, yelled the word 'now' at one hundred twenty-two point four decibels—breaking the previous mark of one hundred twenty-one point seven decibels that had stood since nineteen ninety-four. It's not every day someone quite literally shouts their way into the record books.
