E-Paper Lake Levels
tech
A Reddit maker has built a live water-level monitor for Georgia's Lake Lanier using an e-paper display and an ESP32 microcontroller. Updated every fifteen minutes via the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers API, it displays water level, trend, and inflow-outflow data. Adafruit Blog reports the creator used Claude for coding, and while it's still a prototype, it demonstrates how e-paper can elegantly replace power-hungry web dashboards for real-time data.
