Blogging Technology Interlude

Per LessWrong, a developer recounted migrating his personal blog from WordPress to Pelican—a static site generator—with help from Claude Code. WordPress had long frustrated him with technical limitations, particularly its inability to let him control uploaded filenames directly. The full migration required significant work, but by delegating technical tasks like server setup and file conversion to Claude Code, he could avoid mastering the intricacies of configuration files and CSS. The result now runs over HTTPS and offers Markdown alternatives for crawlers.
