Nintendo customers have no legal right to tariff refunds, company tells judge

Nintendo is asking a federal court to dismiss a class-action lawsuit demanding tariff refunds, Ars Technica reports. Two customers filed the suit in April, alleging the company engaged in unjust enrichment and violated Washington's Consumer Protection Act by keeping tariffs it received from the government instead of passing them along to people who purchased Nintendo products between February twenty twenty-five and February twenty twenty-six. Nintendo argues that customers have no legal entitlement to those refunds and that the plaintiffs are asking the court to retroactively re-price completed sales simply because the legal landscape changed.
