Per The Guardian, UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham is under growing pressure to explain how he'll fund his major pledges: removing VAT from electricity bills and increasing defence spending. On his first day in power, Burnham asked his cabinet to find 'all possible ways' to tackle the cost of living crisis. His new chancellor, John Healey, previously quit the defence secretary role over concerns related to defence spending.
