Zelensky sacks Ukraine army chief Syrsky after protests over rival minister's dismissal

Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed the country's military commander Oleksandr Syrsky. France 24 reports the decision followed days of public pressure over the recent ouster of defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov—Syrsky's replacement, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, is an ally of the departing minister.
