Zelenskyy replaces military leader and brings back defence minister he sacked

The Guardian reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has fired military commander Oleksandr Syrskyi and appointed General Mykhailo Drapati to lead the armed forces. Drapati, a popular and innovative general, will oversee a restructuring of the military's command. Zelenskyy is also returning the defence minister to government in a prominent position—the same minister he fired last week, a decision that sparked nationwide protests.
