Computable, a startup founded by former trading infrastructure engineers from Jump and Coinbase, has launched a marketplace for GPU compute resources sold by the week. According to Hacker News, the platform tackles a glaring inefficiency in GPU rental: the market is opaque and inflexible, with the same H-one-hundred chip commanding a two-X price spread depending on who's renting it, and multi-year leases that can't be broken or resold. Computable lets you buy only the weeks you need without long-term commitment, resell weeks you don't use at a live market price, and even lock in GPU costs for future dates. The first auction closes July thirty-first, with compute blocks available from August through the end of January. All clearing prices will be published publicly, bringing price discovery to a market that's historically been opaque and bilateral.
