Mistrial declared in case over Sacramento’s deadliest shooting

world

A California trial over the deadliest mass shooting in Sacramento's history has ended without a verdict on the killings. The Guardian reports that Mtula Payton and Dandrae Martin, tried together on Tuesday, faced fifteen years to life for their role in the April twenty twenty-two shooting on K Street that killed six people and injured at least a dozen. The jury deadlocked and a mistrial was declared. The two men were convicted on a lesser count of possessing firearms as convicted felons.
