Mike Preston, ‘Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior’ and ‘Hot Pursuit’ Actor, Dies at 93

Actor Mike Preston has died at the age of ninety-three. Variety reports that Preston died June eighth in Florida, with his death confirmed by his wife, Josie Preston. Born Jack Davis, he was an early chart-topping singer in the United Kingdom before turning to acting, and he went on to play the settler leader Pappagallo in the post-apocalyptic film "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior," as well as Detective Bob Delaney in the Australian series "Homicide." It was a career that spanned music, film and television across two continents.
