According to Variety, Sony Music Entertainment has filed another lawsuit against Udio, the AI music generator, alleging it illegally used more than thirty thousand songs to train its system—works by Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Elvis Presley, and others. Sony, alongside Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group, first sued Udio and competitor Suno in June twenty twenty-four. The new action underscores the ongoing legal battle between the music industry and AI firms over whether training on copyrighted material constitutes fair use or infringement.
