world
Tropical Storm Bertha is gaining strength in the Gulf of Mexico and moving toward the US coast, The Guardian reports. While the storm is expected to weaken as it approaches, forecasters warn it could still bring heavy rain, coastal flooding, and possibly tornadoes across a broad area from the Florida Panhandle to Louisiana, including New Orleans. Tropical storm warnings remain in effect through Wednesday, with rain and flooding possible into Thursday morning.
