Tour de France: Evenepoel wins time trial to strengthen second overall

Remco Evenepoel won Stage 16's individual time trial, France 24 reports, his second victory in two days after triumphing at Plateau de Solaison. The three-time world time trial champion finished twenty-eight seconds ahead of Tadej Pogacar and one minute four seconds ahead of Mattias Skjelmose on the course between Évian and Thonon. Despite the consecutive wins, Evenepoel remains second overall, four minutes thirty-two seconds behind the yellow jersey.
