Burnham announces bus fares across England to be capped at £2
politics
Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced a new national bus fare cap of two pounds for single journeys across England starting in January, according to The Guardian. The measure will replace the existing three-pound cap and aligns most regions with the lower fares already available in London and Greater Manchester. The initiative is supported by four hundred fifty-four million pounds in funding, with four hundred million redirected from international climate finance investments to loans.
