Middle East crisis live: US renews strikes on Iran as Trump threatens to attack nuclear site ‘very heavily’

The Guardian reports that the US military has now completed an eleventh consecutive night of strikes on Iran, a bombardment that is overshadowing diplomatic efforts in Pakistan to salvage an interim ceasefire deal. President Trump said on Tuesday that he would hit Iran's underground nuclear facility, known as Pickaxe Mountain, and do it very heavily. The site is a deeply buried complex, and the paper says questions remain about how the American military could actually strike it. Separately, Yemen's Houthi movement has threatened to attack tankers that use Saudi ports on the Red Sea.
