French environment minister announces plan to resign over approved pesticide bill

France's environment minister Monique Barbut announced her resignation Wednesday, per France 24, following parliament's approval of a controversial pesticide measure harmful to bees that she opposed. She informed President Emmanuel Macron of her intention to step down.
