Severed pig heads dumped at Kyiv beauty salon G.Bar over its public support for LGBTQ+ people

Meduza reports that severed pig heads and entrails were dumped at the entrance of the G.Bar beauty salon on Lesi Ukrainky Boulevard in Kyiv, with the building's steps doused in blood. The chain's management said on Instagram that its Ukrainian salons have faced sustained pressure for the past month over their open support for LGBTQ+ people, including threats to employees, the public posting of staff personal data, coordinated attacks on its Google Maps listings, and property damage by people posing as customers. G.Bar says it has added guards at its Kyiv locations, documented each incident, and appealed to the National Police of Ukraine, which has opened a criminal case on hooliganism. The company, an international franchise based in Ukraine with more than seventy-one locations across fourteen countries, said it will not respond to aggression with aggression, nor abandon its values out of fear.
