Lobbying giant filmed offering reporter payment for flattering client coverage in national press

According to a Guardian investigation, a political lobbying firm secretly pays journalists to write favorable pieces about their clients in British newspapers. CT Group, co-founded by electoral strategist Lynton Crosby, who advised David Cameron and Boris Johnson, told an undercover reporter that they had paid for apparently independent stories. The practice essentially creates a back door for private companies to influence public opinion without disclosure.
