Mamdani reiterates ICC support after urging US to execute warrant for Netanyahu’s arrest

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani doubled down on his support for the International Criminal Court on Wednesday, calling on federal authorities to execute an ICC warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu's arrest should the Israeli prime minister visit the city this fall, the Guardian reports. At a press conference, Mamdani told reporters he's calling on the federal government to join the ICC and execute all warrants the court holds. The mayor acknowledged he lacks the direct authority to arrest Netanyahu himself.
