Philipsen wins Tour de France 17th stage as Pogacar retains overall lead

Jasper Philipsen of Belgium won stage seventeen of the Tour de France on Wednesday, sprinting past Mauro Schmid and Olav Kooij in the Alpine terrain. France 24 reports that overall leader Tadej Pogacar struggled with a stomach problem from the previous night but maintained his commanding lead in the standings. The Slovenian cyclist enters the race's final week still firmly in control.
