According to Variety, the Indo-French animated feature 'Heirloom' has secured co-production backing and major government funding. Director Upamanyu Bhattacharyya is making his feature film debut with Paris-based Condor Films and the C-N-C's Aide aux Cinémas du Monde grant—a prestigious European program supporting international cinema. Set in Ahmedabad in nineteen sixty, the film is a period family fantasy. Bhattacharyya previously won the City of Annecy Award in twenty twenty for his animated short 'Wade.'
