Cal State gives $340K job to ex-president who stepped down after discrimination lawsuit

CalMatters reports that Tomás Morales, who recently stepped down as president of Cal State San Bernardino, is moving into a consulting role worth three hundred forty-three thousand nine hundred twenty dollars over the next year. His departure followed a lawsuit accusing him of gender-based discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Cal State settled that case for twelve million dollars. The case was brought by two administrators, Clare Weber and Anissa Rogers, who alleged they were retaliated against after reporting discrimination. Despite the settlement, Cal State determined Morales remains in good standing and eligible for this transition program. Weber criticized the decision, saying male employees at Cal State are often protected when they mistreat women.
