House GOP passes blueprint for reconciliation 3.0
politics
House Republicans narrowly passed a budget blueprint on Wednesday to unlock reconciliation 3.0, a ninety-five billion dollar package. It includes seventy-three billion for Iran war funding, twelve billion in farm aid, and ten billion to incentivize states to adopt elements of the SAVE America Act. The vote was two hundred sixteen to two hundred fourteen, with two Republicans, all Democrats, and an independent voting against. Per Axios, Senate Republicans warn the harder work still lies ahead—Senate Majority Leader John Thune indicated the framework could serve as a backup plan to avert a government shutdown at the end of September.
