House Republicans to write $95bn bill to fund Iran war and aid farmers

House Republicans passed a budget resolution this week that sets the stage for a ninety-five billion dollar spending bill combining three major priorities: funding for the war with Iran, agricultural aid, and proposed voting restrictions. According to The Guardian, Republicans used special reconciliation rules that would allow the measure to advance in the Senate with just a simple majority, bypassing a Democratic filibuster. The resolution passed two hundred sixteen to two hundred fourteen.
