business
Per ABC News, the Captain Cook Shopping Centre in Nhulunbuy, Arnhem Land, has been sold to the Gumatj Corporation, an Aboriginal corporation. The shopping complex, which has stood in the community for decades, now transitions to Indigenous ownership. There's a historical footnote: the British explorer James Cook, whose name adorns the centre, never actually visited Nhulunbuy during his voyages.
