California toddler bitten by rattlesnake ‘hiding under’ Amazon package

A three-year-old girl in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles, ended up in the intensive care unit after a rattlesnake bit her while she reached for an Amazon package outside her family's home. The Guardian reports that the girl, named Addy, had run out with her mother on the thirteenth of July to grab a package that had been dropped over the gate, where the snake was hiding underneath it. She was hospitalized in intensive care following the bite.
