Per Euronews, Google is building a transatlantic submarine cable called Nuvem—seven thousand kilometers of undersea fiber linking Portugal, Bermuda, and the United States. Announced in twenty twenty-three, it's part of Google's infrastructure to support global connectivity. Submarine cables carry virtually all intercontinental data traffic—most of the internet's backbone runs through them.
