Pride organisers vow to march in Romanian city that has blocked event four years in a row

Campaigners in Oradea, Romania, are vowing to proceed with Pride march plans after local authorities blocked the event for the fourth consecutive year. Per The Guardian, the western city of 180,000 has denied authorization each year since 2023, making it the only major city in the European Union where local authorities have repeatedly rejected Pride events. Organizers say they remain determined to eventually stage the march.
