Ecuador’s Carapaz wins Tour de France 18th stage, Pogacar loses key climbing team-mate

Richard Carapaz of Ecuador claimed a solo victory on stage eighteen of the Tour de France, prevailing on the final climb to Orcieres-Merlette. France 24 reports that while Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia retained the overall lead, he suffered a significant setback when his key climbing teammate Brandon McNulty abandoned the race.
