Patreon Lays Off 20% of Employees as Part of ‘Painful’ Restructuring

Patreon, the creator monetization platform, announced on Thursday it's laying off ninety-three employees—twenty percent of its workforce—as CEO Jack Conte described it, a painful restructuring of its internal operations. Variety reports those affected will receive at least sixteen weeks of severance as the company reorganizes.
