Scaling the approach globally remains unproven, effectiveness varies significantly by region depending on currents and water depth, and the full environmental impacts are still being assessed—though early results suggest they could be minor. Most importantly, public support and indigenous community engagement are essential for any large-scale deployment. The challenge ahead is balancing urgent climate action with careful research and genuine community input to steward our oceans responsibly.
