Indian Epic ‘Ramayana’ Lands at Sony Pictures for International Distribution

Sony Pictures has acquired international distribution rights for 'Ramayana,' a two-part mythological epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Prime Focus Studios, according to Variety. Sony will handle all territories outside India, while Bollywood's Karan Johar—through his Dharma Productions—oversees the Indian release. The film follows the exiled prince Rama and his wife Sita, adapting one of humanity's oldest mythological narratives for the modern screen.
