Shaking Up the Emmys By Moving Five Categories Out of the Telecast Might Not Work, But at Least the TV Academy Is Trying Something

Variety reports that five Emmy categories are being moved out of the NBC prime-time telecast in September. Richard Gadd's supporting actor nomination for HBO Max's 'Half Man' is among the awards no longer presented during the live broadcast. The TV Academy is implementing a new format for the ceremony.
