Ukrainian drones have disabled more than a quarter of Belgorod's gas stations over five days—the worst stretch yet for the Russian border city's fuel supply, according to Meduza. At least nineteen stations were struck from July nineteenth through the twenty-third, accounting for roughly twenty-seven percent of the seventy-one stations in and around the city. Ukrainian forces have attacked gas stations in the Belgorod region at least twenty-four times since Monday, July twentieth, with authorities confirming twenty-one of those strikes. Drivers have begun lining up at stations that remain open, and some have cut their hours. A military analyst described the campaign as a symmetric response to stepped-up Russian strikes on fuel supplies in Kharkiv and other frontline areas.
