Canadian government urged to block data-sharing deal between Thomson Reuters and US ICE

Canadian opposition leader Avi Lewis is calling on the Mark Carney government to block a data-sharing deal between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Thomson Reuters, per The Guardian. Under the agreement, ICE is paying one hundred twenty-five million dollars for access to Thomson Reuters' investigative database to identify immigration fraud. Lewis is also urging Ottawa to further restrict Canadian corporations from doing business with ICE.
