NASA to Support Blue Origin New Glenn Rocket Testing, Advance Artemis

According to NASA News, Blue Origin and NASA announced Friday they're bringing the New Glenn rocket to one of America's most legendary test facilities. That's the B-two stand at NASA's Stennis Space Center in Mississippi—the same stand that tested Saturn V rocket stages for the Apollo program back in the nineteen sixties. New Glenn's second stage will undergo hot fire testing there starting this fall, running on two B-E-three engines that each generate two hundred thousand pounds of thrust in vacuum. NASA says the partnership advances Artemis, the program to land astronauts back on the Moon and build a sustained lunar base. Blue Origin is also launching a Moon Base mission this fall with its Blue Moon lander to establish operations at the lunar South Pole.
