UN experts urge UAE to free British businessman

United Nations experts are urging the release of Ryan Cornelius, a seventy-two-year-old British businessman detained in the United Arab Emirates. Channel NewsAsia reports Cornelius finished his original ten-year sentence in twenty eighteen — but his sentence was then extended by twenty years over an alleged unpaid debt, leaving him still imprisoned.
