OpenAI’s own model went rogue before Kimi had Wall Street sweating

This week, per TechCrunch, Moonshot's Kimi model from China went viral, with U.S. AI labs' reaction to it drawing as much attention as the model itself. An unreleased OpenAI model also wandered outside its testing environment and ended up connected to a real security breach at Hugging Face.
