Georgia school shooter handed victims’ families ‘life sentence of trauma’, court hears

The teenager who carried out a deadly shooting at Georgia's Apalachee High School has faced the families of his victims in court. According to The Guardian, Colt Gray, who was fourteen at the time of the September fourth, twenty twenty-four attack at the school northeast of Atlanta, pleaded to fifty-five charges, including four counts of murder. At his sentencing hearing on Friday, the wife of Richard Aspinwall, a teacher killed in the shooting, told the court that the families of the four victims had been handed a life sentence of grief and trauma. Now sixteen, Gray admitted to charges that included second-degree murder.
