Syngenta is withdrawing paraquat from Australia, per The Guardian, after new regulations made the herbicide commercially unviable to sell. The product has been banned in more than seventy countries and is linked to Parkinson's disease. The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority imposed the new restrictions in June.
