Despite showing minimal prior use, the camera's image sensor appeared compromised. Investigation revealed the real problem: a glass filter in front of the sensor had delaminated after liquid cleaner was carelessly applied during cleaning. By disassembling the modular camera and carefully drying the filter, ALT CINE restored it to full operation. That same fix, from RED's official service, would have cost six hundred ninety-five to one thousand three hundred ninety-five dollars. It's a practical reminder that high-end professional gear sometimes yields to a bit of patience and intermediate technical skill.
