Lou Koller, frontman of New York hardcore band Sick of It All, dies aged 59

Lou Koller, the singer and co-founder of the pioneering New York hardcore band Sick of It All, has died at the age of fifty-nine after a battle with cancer of the esophagus, The Guardian reports. Koller helped launch the group in 1986, and it went on to become one of the defining acts of the New York hardcore scene. In a tribute posted to the band's Instagram, his bandmates said the level of loss they feel is overwhelming.
