Coffee may help shield the liver from fat, scarring, and cancer

health

A long-term study suggests coffee drinkers may be protecting their livers without even trying. ScienceDaily reports that regular coffee consumption is linked to significantly lower risks of cirrhosis, liver cancer, and death from liver disease. Coffee drinkers showed healthier liver scans and blood markers, with less fat, inflammation, and scarring. The protective effects appeared even at one or two cups a day, and were strongest around three to four cups.
